Welcome to NLYAA Competition Cheerleading!

Our season will be starting early this year.
Competition Cheer practice will be every Friday starting August 2nd.  Starting in September, practice days will differ between teams in order to share practice space.

Registration Information:
Registration for Competition cheer will open April 15th.
Registration will be open until July 31st.  Athlete MUST participate in Football Cheer in order to be eligible to compete.
Late registrations will be accepted from August 15th through September 1st and with an additional $10 late fee.
Attendance to competitions is MANDATORY.
Dr note will be required for release after 2 consecutive missed practices/events/games or injury. 

Sign up Fees:
- NLYAA Sport Fee -$15 per child (not an additional fee for those registered for NLYAA Football cheer, only applies to 7th & 8th grade athletes)

 - Competition cheer - there will be an additional $40 fee.
This registration is separate when signing up for football cheer.
- Cost of competition cheer covers most of the admission fees for competitions/jump offs/tumble offs that athletes attend. As well as an additional bow and competition cheer end of season gift.
• Cheerleaders participating in Competition will be required to adhere to the competition contract as well as participate during the football season.
*fundraisers and fees also help cover the cost of gym rental spaces when necessary*

- NLYAA - we DO NOT compete, but HOST and it is MANDATORY to attend 11/9
- Emmaus Youth 11/10
- Kutztown 11/17 *NEW*
- Salisbury 11/24 *NEW*
- Lehighton 12/7 *NEW*
- EPC 12/8
- North Parkland 12/15

• Teams by AGES vs GRADE LEVEL:
  We will now host the following teams:
  (athletes age as of 8/31/2024)

Samantha Boyko - Cheerleading Director - will be overseeing and coaching all squads in addition to the below. 

6u - Athletes 5 and 6 years old
Kyndra, Tina A and Kristin

8u - Athletes 7 and 8 years old
Kelsey and Jess

10u - Athletes 9 and 10 years old
Becky, Chris, Lexi

12u - Athletes 11 and 12 years old
Becky, Jess, Katie, Lexi, Faitha, Hannah 

14u will no longer be available as we work with the highschool level to build up their competitive program.

*I understand age groups will have some athletes working with a different group of kids from football cheer to competition cheer, however, this provides your athlete(s) with the best age appropriate opportunities within the competition community.  

Athletes are only eligible for our competition cheerleading program if they are registered and participate in Football Cheerleading. 
This includes athletes that are age eligible at the 7th and 8th grade levels.  

• An attendance policy for competition cheer will be implemented. Attendance to Competition practices and attended competitions is MANDATORY. Your attendance will be kept track of during the football cheerleading season in order to be eligible.  Attendance and participation in football cheer practices and games is also mandatory.
